Those Baby Boomers! There is nothing that they haven't completely turned upside down in their path to immortality in history. The Leo emphasis of their generation is the key to our humanity and our spiritual evolution and that is why they have been the leaders of the charge to progress and social change at every step of the way. Leo rules the heart, you see. And the heart is the vehicle for our joy.... and most important, joy is a divine expression. Your open heart, your joy, your divinity. This is the holy trinity that we can't escape no matter what your religious choices are. Joy doesn't judge. It just wants you to groove right along with it.
But today's post isn't about joy. It is about the robbery of joy from another person through the act of sexual coercion, harassment or textbook definition sexual assault. So, let's begin.
In a man's chart, the Capricorn moon describes his experience of women, his mother-figure and his early home environment, among other things. With the moon here, we have an experience of "lack" when it comes to nurturing and often, women throughout life are seen as cold, rejecting, ambitious or quid pro quo status seekers who only give to people who have something they want to get. The thing to remember when looking at a chart is that it is not an absolute definition of anything but a description of how we experience things. Two children in the same family can have two very different experiences of childhood and the same parent. Both of these children, astrologically, will have two different charts (unless they are twins) and often, two very different moons in their chart. One parent, two children and two completely different recollections of history or the parent.
If his moon is oppose Uranus (and square Saturn), he would have seen women, as a whole, as exciting, anxiety inducing, unpredictably bitchy and impossible to control or communicate with. Difficult wouldn't begin to describe it and in a sensitive male youth, those experiences could have proven traumatic and stamped an indelible mark on his approach and regard for women as peers, partners or even decent human beings. This moon placement will also pick up a trine to his Venus in Pisces, which by nature is a very kind and gentle placement and also a very shy one. At its worst, it lends itself to a shyness and social awkwardness that may take its cues from the males around him and if those cues are highly aggressive, the Venus in Pisces would be clumsy with its expression, at best. Moon in Capricorn sextile Venus in Pisces is a shy placement that means well and wants to believe in the empowerment of women as an act of love. While this may seem completely out of character with what we are hearing about in this case, it doesn't make it any less possible. Sexual assault and sexual bullying or harassment in some folks can be twisted with a desire to be seen as a romantic interest and manifest as a confusing and even more creepy attempt at being "romantic" while violating the object of their obsessions. People are complicated and Henry will be no exception in this regard.
Since the moon also represents the mother, it goes without saying that his mother's behavior, attitudes and/or world views about herself, men and other women among other things would have reinforced some of this making it even more difficult to untangle before the aberrant behavior set in later in life. Ladies, think carefully about the messages you give your son about the world and the women in it. Men like Harvey don't spring into existence out of nowhere and social conditioning will only contribute so much. Mother is the voice of authority on the things that matter and are hard to understand in life and relationships. Teach your sons kindness and respect so you don't have to visit them in prison for sexual assault later.
If his moon is part of that T-square to Neptune and Mercury/Jupiter then what we have is a horse of a completely different color. The moon in T-square to these particular planets is a lot more complicated. Starting with Moon square Neptune, there is always a sense of confusion and also a permanent "blind spot" where women are concerned. This placement gives him a keen visionary quality to his efforts except where "reading" women is concerned. His radar and ability to take social cues from women is obfuscated and often driven by his imaginings and internal visions of what is happening. Some folks might call this delusional but in practice, it is optimistic ambition that is fueled by the slightest suggestion of invitation. Remember, his moon in Capricorn is going to attract very ambitious, opportunistic, agenda driven women into his life because this is what he understands enough to be comfortable with. They make sense to him more than other women do and these personality types (male or female) are exactly the ones who try to get the most leverage from the least amount of investment or effort. So, if he is accustomed to dealing with people who play the quid pro quo game, in HIS case with his inability to read women clearly and his overwhelming anxiety about them along with it, it is not unthinkable that he simply got lazy or gave up trying to make distinctions between one personality or another and just drifted into auto-pilot responses around them. Doesn't make it acceptable, just helps to offer context into how Henry the Golden Boy became Henry the Now Reviled Scapegoat.
That moon square Mercury/Jupiter creates not only a very ambitious personality with very ambitious goals (and he did become a profoundly powerful influence in an insanely competitive Hollywood in his lifetime) but it also respects and gravitates toward the same types of women as both an act of empowerment (moon square Jupiter), an inspiring challenge (Mercury/Jupiter square moon) and also a bit of a mental competition (mercury square moon both in cardinal signs). Women would be experienced as the jockey that rides the race horse. He would feel both pushed along, inspired by and competitively driven to achieve the highest status possible in his relationship with them... as the champion. The winner. The thoroughbred that makes things happen for the jockey. Powerful on its own but able to prove itself with the focus the jockey brings along. He would need women in his life to not only prove himself to and perform for but to help him focus so he could achieve more. This means that he would not look for weak women or pushovers. He would look for the strongest, the best, the brightest and the most worthy of what he had to offer. The most inspiring for his efforts.
And again, this is not the image of Henry that we have right now. What we have is an image of a man who preyed on aspiring celebrities in the Hollywood circles. A man who wanted what he wanted and would ignore "no" as an answer. A man whose ego and sense of entitlement was as big as his belly and his Hollywood power. So where is all this coming from?
Here's where the forceful, intimidating and monstrous sense of sexual entitlement comes from. He carries a Mars in Scorpio in nearly exact square to Pluto in Leo.
So let's talk about Mars in Scorpio for a second. Scorpio has the worst (or the best) reputation when it comes to being a sex fiend in the entire zodiac. The planet Mars, rules our sex drive (among other things). With Mars in Scorpio, you get a hyper-exaggerated emphasis on sexuality and/or sex as a form of power. Before we all jump on the "Aha!" button and call this the smoking gun of a sexual predator, it is NOT. This is not the same thing as dominance as a form of power using sex as the instrument.
When sex or sexuality is used as a form of power, it is manipulative and seductive. The female who dresses specifically to emphasize her femininity or overt sexuality to influence someone is using her sexuality as power. The man who seduces his partner back into bed for mind-blowing sex because he knows she is trying to decide whether she wants to leave him or not is using sex as power. In neither of these cases is the other party anything but voluntary and making a conscious choice to actively participate.
When dominance uses sex as a form of power, the goal is not sex, seduction or achieving a goal that is impossible without the other person's agreement but actual establishment of power over the individual. Instead of using physical, psychological or emotional violence to establish their power over the individual in the situation, they use the act of sex or sexual shaming. In both cases, sex is the whip held over the other person's head without their consent, agreement or choice.
With Mars in Scorpio, the desire for power and the desire for sex are deeply enmeshed in each other because having power is seen as a life or death matter. These things are inseparable to the Mars in Scorpio person who is deeply self protective and driven to control, own and dominate anyone who could be a potential threat to their well being. If a man has this aspect and feels that women are not to be trusted, this will lead to a life long battle for dominance with every woman in his life and an unrelenting desire to conquer, for fear of being conquered and annihilated. If a woman has this aspect, the feminine side of the Mars in Scorpio placement will be operational and all her efforts will be geared toward obtaining secrets for blackmail purposes, sabotage, emotional manipulation and constant spying and surveillance. Men will do this too but the women will make this their stock and trade and they will tolerate no other females in their zone of influence that cannot be controlled and manipulated by them effectively, even their daughters. Mars in Scorpio exaggerates Scorpio qualities and the most difficult to deal with are the paranoia and the constant desire to keep everyone around them under their psychological thumb.
Well, take all that we know about him so far and now combine Mars in that square to Pluto and what you have is an over ripe and stinking pile of psychological garbage thinking that would keep any therapist in business for years. Dominance and sex are now in a profoundly complicated and exaggerated relationship with primal urges for self preservation (power and dominion over others, especially those who appear to be a threat) and the deep, terrified need for love and the fear of abandonment. This is not someone who would take sexual rejection lightly because it is experienced as a rejection of love with him, for him, to him.... a rejection of both him and the opportunity to love him or be loved by him... that cuts to his deepest psychological and primal core. This is not about dominance, per se. This is about the love he didn't receive when he was young or felt like he didn't receive enough of when he was young. His overwhelming and out of control desire for sexual intimacy with nearly every woman he came in contact with that he admired and wanted to help (as strange as that seems) was not about dominating women because he was afraid of them and wanted to humiliate them to make himself feel like a powerful man inside. It would have been driven by a deep, raging fear that he was never really wanted by any woman, and possibly even his mother and his deep, infancy rooted psychological need to be loved as a primal means of survival. Unfortunately, in his case, society and the environment of Hollywood allowed the worst possible expressions of his insecurity to flourish and probably reinforced many of his toxic ideas about women, manhood and the entitlements of power.
So what is the point of any of this and why do we care if he is being scapegoated?
As astrologers and fans of astrology, and finally, decent, intelligent human beings - it is important that we look at the big picture when we start acting as the voice of authority on anything or anyone. The fact is that many people across many generations will share similar planetary placements or aspects with Henry or other, far more horrible examples of humanity. One planetary placement or astrological aspect alone does not define a person. From these two separate things, a multitude of possibilities that could become real world manifestations are presented. Two different people with the same Mars-Pluto aspect will express it in two different ways while at the same time sharing some common traits like a very high drive for sexual intimacy, an ability to endure what will seem almost superhuman if they are committed to a goal or an outcome, a real distaste for compromise and weakness in people, and an innate kind of internal combustion and psychological resolve (that are the natural ingredients for a powerful person and more than a little discomforting to most folks) that are just panty-dropping-sexy. And it literally makes no difference how unattractive they may seem at first glance. A few minutes in their force field when they are expressing their natural power and seduction is unavoidable. Mars/Pluto people make the hyperbole of Scorpio's reputation seem like a cheap used car commercial. You see, Mars and Pluto ARE the engine in the expression Scorpio. The sign Scorpio is just the paint job.
So when we look at Mr. Weingarten, we can't succumb to the easy, lazy thinking opportunity to sound like know-it-alls while painting everyone with the same brush who shares those astrological signatures with him. Astrology seems easy but human nature is complex and astrology is the study of human nature. Its only simple if you are looking for cheap answers or excuses and that's not what decent human beings do, astrologers or not.
Note: Anyone who knows me also knows that I am the LAST person to make excuses for the inexcusable behavior of men toward women for the past (entire history of the known civilized world). Not only have I been a volunteer sexual assault advocate with a rape crisis center, I also have, too many, friends throughout my lifetime that have been traumatized from the impact of rape, incest, sexual harassment, slut shaming and general "bad girl deserves no protection from anyone" situations and fall out from those situations. I know, first hand, how this impacts women and I stand passionately against the perpetuation of it. So, know that I am the farthest thing from a male-apologist and when I tell you that this examination is because it is almost too easy to hang Henry Weinstein out for sacrifice here, it is only that. There is no question of his guilt here.
This is very much about why him, why now and why not someone else guilty of far worse who is being given a free pass in his place?
"Hollywood" as a concept is ruled by the sign Leo (performance, artists, creativity, youth, joy and all things that give us pleasure) and the planet Neptune (glamour, cinema, illusions, fantasy, visions). And now, because of all the Leo eclipses, all things ruled by Leo are getting hard hit with a course correction until we are out of this Leo/Aquarius eclipse season in another year or so. It is no surprise that a Hollywood icon in terms of power players is the next on the list of unexpected hits by these eclipses as the flash point for much bigger issues. And the issue in Hollywood has always been the sexually predatory nature of executives and influence peddlers aimed at young males and females of youthful ages, not just folks who are post-puberty.
In Hollywood, the issues of sexual abuse and pedophilia are not conspiracy theory fodder. Given what we know about the pervasiveness of child sexual abuse and pedophilia on a global level, the idea of it being rampant in a community where child exploitation by their own parents is so common that it is practically normal, there is no reason to believe that pedophilia is NOT tolerated or silently approved of as the price of entry into the Hollywood game. This issue has been brought up more frequently by many Hollywood members and doesn't really gain any traction. Harvey Weinstein gets called on the carpet for behaving like many other males in power in Hollywood since the beginning of Hollywood and suddenly, he is treated like the only pariah in the town and getting rid of him will somehow exonerate everyone else from their so-far-undisclosed sins. His crimes are real but the wildfire that is now being fanned around him like a witch burning at the stake is becoming out of proportion given the company of identical sexual predators he is surrounded by.
Misdirection. What don't they want you to look at? What could be worse than trying to bully women into sex? How about children....?
And guess what sign rules children? You got it, Leo. And you know what planet rules victimization, deception and things hidden out of sight and neglected? Neptune.
And how convenient that someone newsworthy has finally appeared to take the full brunt of social outrage and bear the full force of society's frustrations with the attack on women's ability to live safely, independently and with full agency over her own body and reproductive rights as well as the impotent outrage of having a bragging sexual predator and misogynist as the moral role model for males in our country by occupying the position of leader of the free world...
It isn't that Henry is bad in any way that many of his peers are also bad or worse than him. It is because we have all reached the end of our rope and defense in many ways in this country and we need someone to take the symbolic punishment for all the other offenders who are far worse and we can't seem to bring to reckoning. While we play take this man to task in the court of public opinion, let's not forget that the greatest punishment this man is receiving is also being the symbol of everything that is wrong with the culture that supported his toxic behavior for so long.
The real work here is not about exonerating him as "another boys being boys" apology-excuse but in making sure that our outrage means something and encouraging people to actually be honest about every act of betrayal against children, every excuse for violating youth, and every flimsy justification for misogyny, and speaking up about it at the time it happens. Anyone can look brave in a crowd of angry villagers with pitchforks and torches but to actually BE brave means speaking up, especially when you are the only one who can or will come to the defense of someone else.
Mind your own business should only apply to what CONSENTING adults do behind closed doors.
And we are not talking about consent here.
Interestingly, if you look at the chart for the incorporation of the city of Hollywood, you wont' find a lot of Leo or Pisces. What you will find is a lot of Aquarius energy with Taurus and Scorpio strong. And the most surprising - and yet not surprising part? It has Saturn in Cancer retrograde square Uranus in Libra retrograde, which is like the meaner, stingier, more woman hating and family-UN-friendly version of Moon in Capricorn when it is negative because it literally never feels beautiful enough or womanly enough. It is interesting to note Hollywood's eternal obsession with breasts (cancer), beauty (libra), closely guarded aberrant behavior by the community (Saturn square Uranus) and the obsession with sex (Mars in Pisces which IS one of the most sexual placements in the zodiac) trine Jupiter in Scorpio (which is the equivalent of taking a heterosexual male inmate who was just released from years in prison and shoving sexual enhancement pills down his throat before setting him free) - together, well.... let's just say the sexual proliferation resulting from these two aspects together could exhaust a community of swingers. Oy! And what is OUR Hollywood known for? An obsession with beauty, boobs and sex.
Note: The most recent development of obsession with guns and violence in movies is another discussion relating to the changing power paradigms for males in the modern Western world and the anxiety about the loss of powerful status that was once held artificially and without challenge. Guns are a phallic symbol and spraying "bullets" everywhere is a symbolic show of masculine sexual dominance or, when aimed directly at someone and made to enter them against their will, it is then a masculine show of life and death power over someone that they do not have by innate design.
Men's bodies may be stronger or able to do more damage but women's bodies are always viewed as the gateways between life and death because in childbirth, we are the vehicle through which life will be perpetuated or end, for one or both parties involved in the act of childbirth.
And childbirth is essential to our survival, not brute strength.

Henry Weinstein is this month's celebrity bad boy and generic scapegoat for the masses. If you are unfamiliar, this is the Hollywood director who is all over the news right now being exposed for having a prolific history of sexual abuse, sexual harassment and all-around trophy winning Creepy Guy Sexual Predatory behavior. Henry is not having a good day and it would almost seem like karma is finally catching up with him but nothing is ever what it seems in Hollywood or with a simplistic look at an astrology chart. Let's begin untangling this mess and taking a thinking person's view of what is happening.
Astrologically, two things are prominent here. One, Henry was born a Pisces and the symbolism (not the sign) of Pisces represents "scapegoating". Because many of the folks born with this as their Sun sign are driven to find their peace of mind and best source of optimal function in the world of the mind (ideas, fantasies, dreams, creativity, esoteric studies, art, music... all things transcending the limitations of the physical realm), they also often have a hard time dealing with the selfish, vulgar and cruel default behaviors of the folks around them and this means that as youth, they are often scapegoated because they make easy targets. Being cunning and conniving are not their natural specialties and this puts them at the unwitting mercy of the people they mistakenly thought they could trust more. As adults, many of them develop a cynicism that helps them spot the traitorous and the self serving more quickly but even with that, their nature is one of hope and almost clueless optimism. They want to believe in you and it is heartbreaking when they realize that the magic of you was nothing more than an illusion, regardless of who crafted that illusion.
The second thing that is prominent is that he is from the Pluto in Leo generation. The "baby boomers" that we discussed when we talked about the Las Vegas shooter, Steven Paddock. This generation of folks with Pluto in Leo will be taking these Leo eclipses until well into 2018 and this is another flash point of what will be changing along the way.
Interestingly enough, transiting Pluto (that is Pluto as it is moving right now in the sky and not at Henry's date of birth) has been moving into a tight T-square in his chart involving his Mercury/Jupiter/Neptune (slander and confusion among other things) forcing a major overhaul in his thinking (Mercury) and his idealistic and/or misguided understanding of the world around him (Jupiter/Neptune). Without his actual time of birth, we can only guess at where these planets are being affected in his natal chart and pinpoint more information from that.

Even the easiest, most flowing of Pluto transits are akin to someone opening up the sewage pipes and letting the nastiness you had been comfortably ignoring all this time finally flow without restraint or obstruction. If you are prepared to face what you have been ignoring, then the transits are profoundly curative and a chance to begin clean and fresh when its over. If your only desire in life was to keep ignoring all that crap you thought you had under control and out of sight, well.... there is nothing easy or flowing about it for you no matter how it happens.

At its worst, it lends itself to a shyness and social awkwardness that may take its cues from the males around him and if those cues are highly aggressive, the Venus in Pisces would be clumsy with its expression, at best. Moon in Capricorn sextile Venus in Pisces is a shy placement that means well and wants to believe in the empowerment of women as an act of love. While this may seem completely out of character with what we are hearing about in this case, it doesn't make it any less possible. Sexual assault and sexual bullying or harassment in some folks can be twisted with a desire to be seen as a romantic interest and manifest as a confusing and even more creepy attempt at being "romantic" while violating the object of their obsessions. People are complicated and Henry will be no exception in this regard.
Since the moon also represents the mother, it goes without saying that his mother's behavior, attitudes and/or world views about herself, men and other women among other things would have reinforced some of this making it even more difficult to untangle before the aberrant behavior set in later in life. Ladies, think carefully about the messages you give your son about the world and the women in it. Men like Harvey don't spring into existence out of nowhere and social conditioning will only contribute so much. Mother is the voice of authority on the things that matter and are hard to understand in life and relationships. Teach your sons kindness and respect so you don't have to visit them in prison for sexual assault later.
If his moon is part of that T-square to Neptune and Mercury/Jupiter then what we have is a horse of a completely different color. The moon in T-square to these particular planets is a lot more complicated. Starting with Moon square Neptune, there is always a sense of confusion and also a permanent "blind spot" where women are concerned. This placement gives him a keen visionary quality to his efforts except where "reading" women is concerned. His radar and ability to take social cues from women is obfuscated and often driven by his imaginings and internal visions of what is happening. Some folks might call this delusional but in practice, it is optimistic ambition that is fueled by the slightest suggestion of invitation. Remember, his moon in Capricorn is going to attract very ambitious, opportunistic, agenda driven women into his life because this is what he understands enough to be comfortable with. They make sense to him more than other women do and these personality types (male or female) are exactly the ones who try to get the most leverage from the least amount of investment or effort. So, if he is accustomed to dealing with people who play the quid pro quo game, in HIS case with his inability to read women clearly and his overwhelming anxiety about them along with it, it is not unthinkable that he simply got lazy or gave up trying to make distinctions between one personality or another and just drifted into auto-pilot responses around them. That moon square Mercury/Jupiter creates not only a very ambitious personality with very ambitious goals (and he did become a profoundly powerful influence in an insanely competitive Hollywood in his lifetime) but it also respects and gravitates toward the same types of women as both an act of empowerment (moon square Jupiter), an inspiring challenge (Mercury/Jupiter square moon) and also a bit of a mental competition (mercury square moon both in cardinal signs). Women would be experienced as the jockey that rides the race horse. He would feel both pushed along, inspired by and competitively driven to achieve the highest status possible in his relationship with them... as the champion. The winner. The thoroughbred that makes things happen for the jockey. Powerful on its own but able to prove itself with the focus the jockey brings along. He would need women in his life to not only prove himself to and perform for but to help him focus so he could achieve more. This means that he would not look for weak women or pushovers. He would look for the strongest, the best, the brightest and the most worthy of what he had to offer. The most inspiring for his efforts.

And again, this is not the image of Henry that we have right now. What we have is an image of a man who preyed on aspiring celebrities in the Hollywood circles. A man who wanted what he wanted and would ignore "no" as an answer. A man whose ego and sense of entitlement was as big as his belly and his Hollywood power. So where is all this coming from?
Here's where the forceful, intimidating and monstrous sense of sexual entitlement comes from. He carries a Mars in Scorpio in nearly exact square to Pluto in Leo.
So let's talk about Mars in Scorpio for a second. Scorpio has the worst (or the best) reputation when it comes to being a sex fiend in the entire zodiac. The planet Mars, rules our sex drive (among other things). With Mars in Scorpio, you get a hyper-exaggerated emphasis on sexuality and/or sex as a form of power. Before we all jump on the "Aha!" button and call this the smoking gun of a sexual predator, it is NOT. This is not the same thing as dominance as a form of power using sex as the instrument.
When sex or sexuality is used as a form of power, it is manipulative and seductive. The female who dresses specifically to emphasize her femininity or overt sexuality to influence someone is using her sexuality as power. The man who seduces his partner back into bed for mind-blowing sex because he knows she is trying to decide whether she wants to leave him or not is using sex as power. In neither of these cases is the other party anything but voluntary and making a conscious choice to actively participate.
With Mars in Scorpio, the desire for power and the desire for sex are deeply enmeshed in each other because having power is seen as a life or death matter. These things are inseparable to the Mars in Scorpio person who is deeply self protective and driven to control, own and dominate anyone who could be a potential threat to their well being. If a man has this aspect and feels that women are not to be trusted, this will lead to a life long battle for dominance with every woman in his life and an unrelenting desire to conquer, for fear of being conquered and annihilated. If a woman has this aspect, the feminine side of the Mars in Scorpio placement will be operational and all her efforts will be geared toward obtaining secrets for blackmail purposes, sabotage, emotional manipulation and constant spying and surveillance. Men will do this too but the women will make this their stock and trade and they will tolerate no other females in their zone of influence that cannot be controlled and manipulated by them effectively, even their daughters. Mars in Scorpio exaggerates Scorpio qualities and the most difficult to deal with are the paranoia and the constant desire to keep everyone around them under their psychological thumb.

So what is the point of any of this and why do we care if he is being scapegoated?
As astrologers and fans of astrology, and finally, decent, intelligent human beings - it is important that we look at the big picture when we start acting as the voice of authority on anything or anyone. The fact is that many people across many generations will share similar planetary placements or aspects with Henry or other, far more horrible examples of humanity. One planetary placement or astrological aspect alone does not define a person. From these two separate things, a multitude of possibilities that could become real world manifestations are presented. Two different people with the same Mars-Pluto aspect will express it in two different ways while at the same time sharing some common traits like a very high drive for sexual intimacy, an ability to endure what will seem almost superhuman if they are committed to a goal or an outcome, a real distaste for compromise and weakness in people, and an innate kind of internal combustion and psychological resolve (that are the natural ingredients for a powerful person and more than a little discomforting to most folks) that are just panty-dropping-sexy. And it literally makes no difference how unattractive they may seem at first glance. A few minutes in their force field when they are expressing their natural power and seduction is unavoidable. Mars/Pluto people make the hyperbole of Scorpio's reputation seem like a cheap used car commercial. You see, Mars and Pluto ARE the engine in the expression Scorpio. The sign Scorpio is just the paint job.
So when we look at Mr. Weingarten, we can't succumb to the easy, lazy thinking opportunity to sound like know-it-alls while painting everyone with the same brush who shares those astrological signatures with him. Astrology seems easy but human nature is complex and astrology is the study of human nature. Its only simple if you are looking for cheap answers or excuses and that's not what decent human beings do, astrologers or not.
Note: Anyone who knows me also knows that I am the LAST person to make excuses for the inexcusable behavior of men toward women for the past (entire history of the known civilized world). Not only have I been a volunteer sexual assault advocate with a rape crisis center, I also have, too many, friends throughout my lifetime that have been traumatized from the impact of rape, incest, sexual harassment, slut shaming and general "bad girl deserves no protection from anyone" situations and fall out from those situations. I know, first hand, how this impacts women and I stand passionately against the perpetuation of it. So, know that I am the farthest thing from a male-apologist and when I tell you that this examination is because it is almost too easy to hang Henry Weinstein out for sacrifice here, it is only that. There is no question of his guilt here.
This is very much about why him, why now and why not someone else guilty of far worse who is being given a free pass in his place?
The bigger picture:
"Hollywood" as a concept is ruled by the sign Leo (performance, artists, creativity, youth, joy and all things that give us pleasure) and the planet Neptune (glamour, cinema, illusions, fantasy, visions). And now, because of all the Leo eclipses, all things ruled by Leo are getting hard hit with a course correction until we are out of this Leo/Aquarius eclipse season in another year or so. It is no surprise that a Hollywood icon in terms of power players is the next on the list of unexpected hits by these eclipses as the flash point for much bigger issues. And the issue in Hollywood has always been the sexually predatory nature of executives and influence peddlers aimed at young males and females of youthful ages, not just folks who are post-puberty.
In magic shows and politics, the key to avoiding getting caught doing the thing you are trying to get away with is misdirection. People can know you are up to something, know what you are up to and expect to see you attempt the very thing you both know is about to happen. The secret to success is focusing their attention on something else that is just as compelling and keeping it there long enough for them to forget what they were looking for. Once they are distracted, the feat is accomplished and the show is swiftly kept moving on to something else so that they don't have time to obsess about what just happened and realize how you were fooled.
In politics and Hollywood, we have the same things happening. We are being distracted by very compelling and alarming events that are deliberately orchestrated to be even more alarming and distracting so that we aren't looking at where the bigger crime is being committed. Make no mistake about it, these are criminal and seriously life threatening things happening that we are facing but do not let yourself forget for one second that there is something much more sinister afoot that wants you to pay attention to this or that... not it.In Hollywood, the issues of sexual abuse and pedophilia are not conspiracy theory fodder. Given what we know about the pervasiveness of child sexual abuse and pedophilia on a global level, the idea of it being rampant in a community where child exploitation by their own parents is so common that it is practically normal, there is no reason to believe that pedophilia is NOT tolerated or silently approved of as the price of entry into the Hollywood game. This issue has been brought up more frequently by many Hollywood members and doesn't really gain any traction. Harvey Weinstein gets called on the carpet for behaving like many other males in power in Hollywood since the beginning of Hollywood and suddenly, he is treated like the only pariah in the town and getting rid of him will somehow exonerate everyone else from their so-far-undisclosed sins. His crimes are real but the wildfire that is now being fanned around him like a witch burning at the stake is becoming out of proportion given the company of identical sexual predators he is surrounded by.
Misdirection. What don't they want you to look at? What could be worse than trying to bully women into sex? How about children....?
And guess what sign rules children? You got it, Leo. And you know what planet rules victimization, deception and things hidden out of sight and neglected? Neptune.
And how convenient that someone newsworthy has finally appeared to take the full brunt of social outrage and bear the full force of society's frustrations with the attack on women's ability to live safely, independently and with full agency over her own body and reproductive rights as well as the impotent outrage of having a bragging sexual predator and misogynist as the moral role model for males in our country by occupying the position of leader of the free world...
It isn't that Henry is bad in any way that many of his peers are also bad or worse than him. It is because we have all reached the end of our rope and defense in many ways in this country and we need someone to take the symbolic punishment for all the other offenders who are far worse and we can't seem to bring to reckoning. While we play take this man to task in the court of public opinion, let's not forget that the greatest punishment this man is receiving is also being the symbol of everything that is wrong with the culture that supported his toxic behavior for so long.
The real work here is not about exonerating him as "another boys being boys" apology-excuse but in making sure that our outrage means something and encouraging people to actually be honest about every act of betrayal against children, every excuse for violating youth, and every flimsy justification for misogyny, and speaking up about it at the time it happens. Anyone can look brave in a crowd of angry villagers with pitchforks and torches but to actually BE brave means speaking up, especially when you are the only one who can or will come to the defense of someone else.
Mind your own business should only apply to what CONSENTING adults do behind closed doors.
And we are not talking about consent here.

Interestingly, if you look at the chart for the incorporation of the city of Hollywood, you wont' find a lot of Leo or Pisces. What you will find is a lot of Aquarius energy with Taurus and Scorpio strong. And the most surprising - and yet not surprising part? It has Saturn in Cancer retrograde square Uranus in Libra retrograde, which is like the meaner, stingier, more woman hating and family-UN-friendly version of Moon in Capricorn when it is negative because it literally never feels beautiful enough or womanly enough. It is interesting to note Hollywood's eternal obsession with breasts (cancer), beauty (libra), closely guarded aberrant behavior by the community (Saturn square Uranus) and the obsession with sex (Mars in Pisces which IS one of the most sexual placements in the zodiac) trine Jupiter in Scorpio (which is the equivalent of taking a heterosexual male inmate who was just released from years in prison and shoving sexual enhancement pills down his throat before setting him free) - together, well.... let's just say the sexual proliferation resulting from these two aspects together could exhaust a community of swingers. Oy! And what is OUR Hollywood known for? An obsession with beauty, boobs and sex.
Note: The most recent development of obsession with guns and violence in movies is another discussion relating to the changing power paradigms for males in the modern Western world and the anxiety about the loss of powerful status that was once held artificially and without challenge. Guns are a phallic symbol and spraying "bullets" everywhere is a symbolic show of masculine sexual dominance or, when aimed directly at someone and made to enter them against their will, it is then a masculine show of life and death power over someone that they do not have by innate design.
Men's bodies may be stronger or able to do more damage but women's bodies are always viewed as the gateways between life and death because in childbirth, we are the vehicle through which life will be perpetuated or end, for one or both parties involved in the act of childbirth.
And childbirth is essential to our survival, not brute strength.
