August 2020 - Awakened Goddess Rising - part 1

Fragile instability with the potential to detonate nuclear reactor size responses are at play this month.
If this were a movie, it would be the building climax of the scene in a suspenseful, psychological thriller. Unfortunately this is real life and as dramatic as this sounds, the fate of our collective future is hanging in the balance this month and will span out in portent and potential calamitous change until next January.
This month though, it is the one to watch and pay attention to all the subtle changes in the wind. The clues are in the details and the ones who can navigate and survive the unexpected are the ones who can hear the barely perceptible sound of hoof beats on the ground, smell the faint wisp of smoke from a distance, see the leaves beginning to turn down as the animals start to move to higher ground. The tiny details are where the warnings are, well ahead of time but you have to be willing to pay attention.
Frida Kahlo, a Pluto-Uranus force of nature.
In our personal lives, we may be experiencing exactly this feeling or we may be feeling an undeniable dread or sense of unease. People who are paying attention and actively engaging with the world around them are the only people who will get through this month with any kind of reward. For folks who are playing the ostrich game and sticking their head in the sand to avoid looking at the danger that heading their way, well... you aren't reading reports coming from people like me anyway. There's no reason to shout into the void around you.
The Sun squares Uranus this month. This is not a new event, it will happen twice a year, every year but this time, we are also operating with Mars moving into square with Jupiter and Pluto simultaneously. This square is part of the pattern showing a pivot point in our evolution happening this month.
I have been consistently referring to Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Capricorn as the "miracle makers", and indeed they have been. Here in the USA, it has taken cell phone cameras, the hubris of a Minneapolis police department and a murder of an innocent man in broad daylight in a city street to become the tipping point for massive cultural and global change. Black lives having value, police brutality, egregious and unfair disparity in wealth distribution, and two sets of inequitable judicial systems - one for the wealthy who are spared consequences for even the most foul of crimes against society and the other for the common man who is often given the most severe penalties for the most benign transgressions depending on the whim of the judge at hand.
All of these issues come down to the system flaws of a toxic masculinity in a patriarchal society designed to prop up and support male dominance. And in masculine power structures, there is always an hierarchical distribution of power, reward and protection. Those at the top get the lion's share of all of it. Those at the bottom get none of it. If we are to survive, this way of doing things must stop. If you step back and look, you will see that the Goddess has risen. This is the end of toxic male dominance and the absolute rule of patriarchy has seen the end of its free ride. Equals, partners, co-contributors and team players; this is the design of the new world.
The miracle is being born and just like childbirth, it is coming through in a chaotic, messy, terrifying, bloody and determined series of events that cannot be accelerated, or stopped. Like giving birth, if we want to see the reward of a new life being born, we must we hang in there and see this process through to its hard earned end.
Sometimes it is hard to see the miracles happening when we are still standing in the middle of chaos and destruction but it is there and will be more obvious later, when the smoke clears.
Let's break down who these players are.
Capricorn rules business, management of resources, old people, the patriarchy, status (seeking and maintaining). old money, grandparents, legacies, validation, and rigidity. The rigidity of Capricorn and Saturn creates restraint and limitations. Too much and we have a prison that keeps us from making progress and innovation. Too little and we cannot have safe shelter in structures that will stand the test of time.

The rigidity of Capricorn and Saturn creates restraint and limitations. Too much and we have a prison that keeps us from making progress and innovation. Too little and we cannot have safe shelter in structures that will stand the test of time.
And it is in this sign that we have been dealing with Jupiter, Pluto and now Saturn, back home again for a final appraisal before it closes and locks the door for another 28 years.
Saturn is the natural ruler of Capricorn. Like any planet in rulership, it has great power in this position and also equally great repercussions for the misuse of that power.
Saturn also rules... rules!
Since Saturn has been in Capricorn, here in the USA where we have been operating with a long standing philosophy of "He who has the gold makes the rules" in spite of an active democracy. We have also seen Saturn bringing many groups and power structures to a place of reckoning because of their misuse and abuse of power. Saturn entered Capricorn in 2017. Here is a video review of major policy changes for the nation of the USA that were enacted after Saturn entered Capricorn, and from which, we can expect to see the karmic fruits of those decisions in significant and large scale ways.
Consequences also come under the domain of Saturn. You can call it karma but what karma translates into is simply "consequences," good ones and bad ones.
Pluto breaks things down. Destroys things. Reforms things. Rebirths things. Pluto is ALL about power; the use, abuse and misuse of it. Pluto gives us choices in situations where we have all the power. Pluto takes away our choices in situations where we have no power at all. Pluto teaches us about the nature of power by experiencing it. We will become transformed by these experiences. How we are transformed has more to do with our inherent character and less to do with our free will. Pluto will make you more of who you are and reveal the true nature of your actual, not imagined, moral compass.
Pluto in Capricorn has amplified the urge for more power and control at any expense as well as setting into motion the things that will challenge and destroy weak or faulty structures that have become liabilities because of their handicaps. On the surface it looks like "winners and losers" (and can feel that way for anyone who has survived a personal Pluto transit.) There is nothing fair about the events, nor was it intended to be. Power is neutral and so is Pluto. Neither care about who, why or how. Both only care about discovering, and exposing, the limits of whatever it makes contact with.
That which does not kill us, makes us stronger. ~Friedrich Nietzsche
(who was also a Plutonian person)
So here we have Pluto wreaking havoc on the very structures (Capricorn) and old, hierarchical ways of doing things (Capricorn) and increasing both the excessive, uncontrolled grab for power and wealth (Pluto) by elitists and folks in the very top echelons of power and social control (Capricorn) while serving to humiliate and destroy (Pluto) anything that is too weak to stand up to the forces who wield the power (Pluto). Destruction of the "powerless" is NOT inevitable but to change the direction away from absolute Plutocracy and toward deep, long lasting transformation into an empowered agent of change ... well, you'll have to show you are committed enough to merit being given the responsibility of having the reigns to that chariot.

Goddess Dhumavati, the widowed Goddess. A very Plutonian Goddess.

Saturn and Pluto together have been described as a partnership in cruelty. It can present as this in practice but it can also be viewed as the master demanding an exceptional level of excellence from his/her student. These demands are never made from someone who doesn't have the genuine potential for it in them. You cannot train a pig to sing. As talented as the elephant is, it cannot paint a Sistine Chapel. As we go through these challenges, it is helpful to remind ourselves that Pluto also rules childbirth. Just like generations of women from the beginning of time have survived the life threatening experience of childbirth, and always with the support and assistance of other people who understand the dangers and vulnerability of this time - we can survive this too. And just like them, with the support and assistance of other people who understand the dangers and vulnerability we face at this time.
