Support first amendment rights, the arts and help me finance emergency home repairs.

This art was censored from a showing in a local college, online art show on February 20, 2020.

An anonymous letter was sent to the local newspaper, the Governor and Senator, the Dean and the board of the directors for the school expressing outrage at the "disrespect" it showed our president. A journalist contacted the school and immediately caused alarm and the art work was pulled offline immediately. I was not contacted until the next morning after an article by the local newspaper ran a full article discussing the school's initial approval of the controversial art for public viewing.

Within 48 hours, the article hit the AP wire focusing on the blatant act of censorship and the violation of first amendment rights in the context of the long, rich and vital relationship of art and political commentary. In that 48 hours, news of the art work and its censorship traveled by AP wire to every academic, legal and journalistic platform in nearly ever small town and major city across the nation. It also spanned as far as Singapore, UK, Canad and Mexico.

If you share the sentiment and want to support a good cause, consider buying something from my shop. Your patronage and support will also be contributing to the ability to make repairs that will allow us to keep a safe and warm space for my family to live in this winter.

Thank you, deeply and truly,

Jennie
