Can we predict the 2020 election outcome?

Caveat: 

These types of charts are hard to read because they are a fairly new phenomenon. In fairness, modern government is a fairly new phenomenon and is different from nation to nation so assigning houses and planets to offices and officers holding them doesn't have an established precedent yet. We are all using our knowledge of astrology and what we see consistently evidenced to try and draw some conclusions. None of this is a hard rule and is subject to reassignment if more compelling information and consistent presentation appears that is different than what we started with. Disagreement about what rules what, etc is to be expected. Needing to be right is the greatest obstacle to learning anything. If you are never learning anything beyond what you already know, you prevent yourself from improving and staying masterful of your supposed area of expertise. 

No one cares if you are right. They only care if you being right helps solve a problem. I told you so is not the same thing as we can fix this.

Can astrology predict the winner of an election?

The only real validation of competence as an astrologer is accuracy in prediction. It is the holy grail and litmus test that separates the frauds from the masters because you were either right, or wrong. There is no in between when making a prediction that involves a clear cut choice of A, B or C. Being able to do this is why everyone wants to learn astrology and this is also the reason so many astrologers of every level avoid it publicly (including me). No one wants to be wrong and if you are a professional soothsayer of any kind, you can't afford to be. After all, accurate predictions are your job, aren't they? 

With the election only a few months away, the USA finds itself in a fractured and very crippled state of affairs that has completely exposed the corrupt mechanics of the elite class who make the laws and policies, have access to all the information and have been enjoying "the game" with shameless perpetuation since the Reagan administration. 

And we have definitely reached critical mass with this corrupt and shameless administration that has exceeded the wildest imaginings of even the most prolific comedy or dystopian fiction writer. "You can't make this stuff up" has become the hallmark of the dumpster fire called the Trump administration.

You can thank 'unvarnished truth and honesty loving' Saturn in Aquarius for this final round of "rip the curtain back and expose the angry little man at the controls, manipulating the game for his entertainment and benefit". Guess who the Aquarius is in this picture!

But isn't Sagittarius the sign of the truth teller? Yes and no. Sagittarius loves to embellish stories and exaggerate. When it blurts out the truth, it is passive aggressive mockery or humor. You'll know by their clever ability to turn this into a funny moment immediately afterwards. Anyone clever enough to do that is also clever enough to know when to keep their mouths shut, so there are no accidents here. But Aquarius on the other hand...

Notable qualities of this upcoming 2020 election administration: 

1. Saturn is in its rulership, Aquarius (it is the original, ancient ruler of Aquarius!) AND it is the strongest planet in the chart. Aquarius is about unvarnished truth of the matter (any matter) but also mechanization. We may very well see the proliferation of robotic/automated labor work and job elimination during this administration but it will (if handled correctly) open the field for more community investment in tech/science and math education so we can remain market competitive. Remember, a planet in rulership always demands the best and highest expression of its sign or suffer the worst and most long term consequences from trying to take the easy way out.

2/3. Jupiter and Saturn together. This means that Jupiter could potentially soften the logical, cold and unsentimental side of Aquarius by injecting it with a healthy dose of humanity and reward for embracing the positive side of community and diversity. Both can work together like the Rebel Army from Star Wars for a higher good. All different but united by a common, inclusive, progressive vision. These two planets also being within reach of the Sun and supporting it, shows support of a leader who embraces those ideals too. Saturn acting as the bridge between diverse communities and humanitarian wisdom (Jupiter in Aquarius) and leadership (Sun) promises that the consequences of selfish or short sighted choices will be immediate (Uranus ruled sign) and dramatically obvious (Aquarians are NOT known for their subtlety).

4. Pluto conjunct the Midheaven or MC. The Midheaven represents leadership as well as the structure within which we have value in society - in this case, our democratic institution.

This is the one that has many star gazers shaking in their boots or preparing for a doomsday scenario for democracy. Don't buy into their fears or negative prophecies (negative predictions are always easier because if you are right, you are accurate. If you are wrong, you are relieved and can rejoice being wrong about it and no one is mad at you for being wrong). 

Pluto is reform. And more than anything else, it is more obvious now than ever before what we need is massive reform of our current government systems and check and balances. It won't be easy but it is necessary and it will allow us to break from the things that threaten to pull us down to drown in our past. 

5. Moon is at 29 Aries. Personally, I am still undecided on what role the moon plays in this type of chart so for now, I will assume this is all specific to the leadership of the administration. This promises that profound change will be almost immediate after the transfer of power so it could be that the leadership doesn't last and our VP could become our President. Let's hope they pick a more competent and less offensively disappointing choice than Biden when a VP is elected. 6. Neptune in Pisces in t-square with nodes conjunct fixed star Rigel.

Planets in rulership are powerful. Neptune in Pisces has exploded the hearts and conscience of millions of people since it has entered its home sign. Enough so that the ones who remain closed and hard hearted are more clearly and undeniably visible than they ever could be otherwise. They are as obvious as a giant pile of donkey dung in the middle of a clean, glass table. Under any other circumstances, we might be aware they exist but never really had reason to be so confronted by their existence. Now, their offensive selfishness and cruelty is impossible to ignore because everywhere else you look, you see Neptune in Pisces. Neptune in Pisces: suffering, compassion, redemption, charity, humanity and heart centered consciousness. Loving kindness as aspired to in the Theraveda Buddhist traditions. The nodes promise large scale, humanitarian involvement and this would suggest that the newly elected leader is going to have to take a GLOBAL, compassionate and visionary approach to getting any job done. Its no longer us against them. It's us AND them righting the ship before it capsizes with everyone in it. No one benefits if anyone else suffers needlessly. Neptune in Pisces will teach you that. So will Jesus Christ, who brought on the Piscean age.

7.  Mars conjunct Uranus in Taurus in 12th house SQUARE Sun/Saturn/Jupiter

This is the other aspect that has many astrologers biting their nails and wondering if it is too late to build a bunker under the house and get survival tips from their 'doomsday prepper' friends. 

Let's start with the obvious: Mars conjunct Uranus in 12th.
The 12th house is the house of enlightened liberation or psychological torment. It is the graveyard at midnight when your worst fears are hiding behind every small movement and sound. It is the awareness of how small and insignificant you are when faced with a death that doesn't care about your supposed importance or necessity to other people in your life. It is the house of mental hygiene and spirituality. Charity and prisons. The 12th house is the crematorium for the earthly world and its props. It is where the illusion of ego goes to become liberated and be transformed into silence and surrender.

Mars here always becomes weakened because the noisy, screaming, egoistic demands of Mars MUST become the opposite of its reflexes to find peace of mind instead of torment. Mars here is the contained explosion of the bomb squad. Muted, silenced, contained and handicapped from its most powerful, overt expression. In the human expression, it is the real challenge to rise above our selfish, animal nature in practice, not philosophy.

Uranus conjunct Mars is often explosive, erratic, abrasive and difficult to manage. Energy surges in spikes and then falls in great dips without warning. It is a maniac with no respect for hypocrisy or cowardice, trapped inside a civilized society that requires both to maintain conformity and homogeny. Uranus conjunct Mars here in this location makes for karmic events that are unavoidable or inexplicable. Freak accidents, mental breakdowns, and sabotage from people you never saw it coming from are all described by this combination. Predicting which will manifest is difficult, if not impossible since all manifestations are possible at any given time.

In Taurus and square Sun/Saturn/Jupiter in Aquarius, this could also be a freak accident involving flight and mountains/earth/gravity. In this case, our own back room, hidden deals that achieved our goals for leadership may come back and prove to be our own self undoing before summer of the first term.

It could also show the struggle to move past our own unspoken, personal biases. When confronted with change or ideas so shocking to our personal values, our first and strongest instinct may be to dig our heels in and refuse as if we were being asked to sacrifice our children on an altar to someone else's God. The reality though is that it is not our child we are being asked to sacrifice but our own, personal sacred cows. And it is not someone else's God we do it for but for the greater good with a vision far bigger than the one we started with and finally came to understand. There is a heavy karmic penalty for this particular chart combination, making the wrong "moral" decisions here when it comes to what is good for the group versus what is good for the individual.

Selfishness plants the seeds of its own self undoing with this combination.

Vega is the star constellation representing the lyre, a musical instrument. This lyre was a possession of Orpheus, a poet and a lover who died at the hands of a group of drunken, wild women. Their motivations and identity are varied depending on who tells the story but what Orpheus is most remembered for is his committed love to his bride, Eurydike and his gift for poetry and music. His death was honored by the Gods by putting his lyre in the heavens for all to see and remind us of the power of love and art (and apparently drunken women being savage! LOL)

This fixed star speaks to music, seductive speech (singing), justice and avenging wrongs, wealth and general, all around blessings and protection. Joan of Arc was born with her Sun conjunct this fixed star. So was Eric Trump. We are still waiting for Eric to fulfill the destiny of this star in his lifetime. He still has time to become a champion for justice or get savagely mauled by a bunch of drunken sorority girls as his legacy. :-)

We would expect our president inaugurated at this time to have as a hallmark a personal love story, a strong championing of justice, a love and support of music and the arts or any combination of these. In all cases, this will be a lover, not a fighter and popular with women across the board - and perhaps too popular but not in a Bill Clinton sort of way.

Bill had the typical married man who is less successful than his wife, masculine pride issues with Hillary so he deliberately sought out unattractive women to cuckqueen her with to build up his sense of masculinity and also take cheap shots at her ego with. Yes, he was President and she was not but let's face facts. If it weren't for her, he would have never gotten out of the local Arkansas political circuit. Like Jeff Bezos, it was his spouse that made him (and in Bezos' case, the company too)

Success is built on the support and opportunities provided by the people around us. It does not happen *just* because we are awesome, talented or a genius. The most mediocre folks can reach dizzying heights of success with the right team. Need another example? Look at the success of Madonna, the singer who is also known as one of the worst voices in the industry. LOL

Dabih conjuncts that powerful and dominating Saturn in this chart. 

Yes, Pluto on the MC is dramatic and dominates the celestial landscape but the planet with the most power, the muscle to flex, the most inherent ... strength... is Saturn. And it is conjunct Dabih, which is a fixed star that suggests a serious or melancholy disposition. It also mentions difficulties and enmity of the opposite sex. Combined with Vega, this creates an image of someone who will suffer mightily at the hands of a large number of women (not just a few) for infractions they feel have been committed or boundaries that have been crossed and should not have been.

While it would be easy to quickly assign this to Trump because of his known history, I don't think this describes him. One, Trump promotes the power of positive thinking and a refusal to even entertain reality or facts if it is negative or pessimistic and while I know it is a woman that will bring him down (and it has certainly been a succession of strong, powerful women representing the Goddess incarnate, each taking their turns adding to his ultimate pyre. Second, there have been far too many "apologists" in his camp who prefer to infantilize him and defend him as a wounded boy, not a grown man who should take responsibility for his choices and deeds. This is hardly enmity of enough women to satisfy this image, in my opinion.

For many women, defending Trump is a defense of "their own men" by proxy. Men that they see as so infantile, vulnerable and impotent that they need the championing of surrogate mother-wives against the mean, new world that isn't invested in protecting them from consequences of their actions, anymore. 

No, I think this is definitely someone else and it has the rage and mass of women that is also reflected right out of the #metoo movement, or something similar. It will be interesting to see if Biden becomes the embodiment of this astrodrama or if something else unexpected comes up along the way.

The story of the death of Orpheus (Wega, Lyre)

Based on this, can we predict the outcome of the election? I don't think so but like a puzzle, it certainly gives us more pieces to make a complete picture with. Always use more than one planet, aspect or set of charts to corroborate an outcome if it isn't as obvious as sunlight at high noon. The charts of the incumbents should be examined also and in complete honesty, my bias against the entire rotten lot of Republican senators and the Trump administration cabinet members is at such an impossible level that I cannot accept any other option than his leaving office by any means necessary. As objectively as possible, I will say that this inauguration chart does not describe him. 

If I am wrong and he were to take office, he would represent the lowest expression of all these planets based on what we know to be fact about his character and priorities which means that a strong likelihood of successful assassination in office with that 29 degree moon in 12th, Pluto on MC and Mars/Uranus square Sun/Saturn/Jupiter , Remember, Obama had 29 degree moon too and I am sure there were multiple assassination attempts that were thwarted well into their initial attempts and were not broadcast because the Secret Service was doing an excellent job - well until this incident which someone definitely allowed to happen...
