July 2020 Overview

The month starts out with a 13 Capricorn eclipse on July 4, 2020 in Washington, DC. 

Just in time for Independence Day celebrations. Mars has also moved into the sign of Aries and this combination of this particular eclipse and Mars in Aries with Mercury retrograde in Cancer will increase the incidences of ill-considered, rash and impulsive behavior. While I don't think this is going to manifest as large scale pandemonium, it is important to remember that it only takes on person with a stupid idea and no impulse control to ruin the day of many people (or many lives). Expect the singular and most extreme risk taking problematic personality in every group to be a significant problem around this time, and plan accordingly.

Expect this source of concern to be active from July 1 to July 4 as its most concentrated and precaution worthy.

In terms of the whole month, this eclipse seems like a small scale activity rather than an enormous event we should all focus intensely on. The most challenging part of the month is actually later during the new moon discussed below.

Otherwise, July should be a manageable month.

If you can find productive things that can be handled, sources of pleasure or future planning that can be focused on without distraction and otherwise taking a breather from this global three-ring circus called social evolution we are on, then take it. Respite and rest matter. Make use of it where you can get it.

Mars and Venus start the month in good aspect to each other encouraging us to socialize, flirt and mingle, especially if you are single. Again, impulsive and less than ideal decision making rules the first week of July so if you meet someone seductive, hold back on the marriage plans or the love-fest until after that week is over so you can get a more clear picture of who you are dealing with.

This week is NOT the time to assume "they wouldn't do that, whatever that is. The life you save may be someone else's. Keep a low profile and remind yourself that you are dealing with a potential crazy person and this is going to be THAT week. Plan, prepare and don't let your guard down or play games for those of you who think someone else's mental health is a toy to play with.

This won't protect everyone but for folks who have partners (current or former) that were always on the edge of insanity but never quite made the leap into it - this would NOT be the week to test their self control and rational thinking, The rest of us thank you in advance for your contribution to keeping the world safer for a week.

July 12, 2020 is another day full of impetuous behavior and unclear motivations or misunderstanding for everyone, Avoid making big commitments or decisions on this day. Be prepared for the adult babies to be out in force demanding that you recognize how important they are (in their mind).

July 15 - July 22 is a sobering time, and a subtle cosmic offer of a second chance to make course corrections in your own life.

Pay attention and make the corrections before this is over if you can. Remember Saturn has returned to Capricorn again and is standing on the very edge of the sign with the door propped open for you, one final time. Saturn is in its rulership sign when in Capricorn and it is incredibly powerful there. Right now, the return to home for this planet is also a chance for us to finish up any business we didn't get to during its original transit the last 2 years. 

This could be something as complicated as doing the difficult thing that has been vexing you because circumstance or pride wouldn't let you embrace the many opportunities you had before now, or it could be something as seemingly small and easy as an overdue apology to someone. Or, it may be simply finally sitting down and getting serious with yourself and taking a long, hard and unapologetic look at yourself and your life and making new life plans while you are taking inventory. In all ways, if you don't make the evolutionary leap now and do whatever it is you may have been avoiding, this moment of getting tangible rewards for your intangible efforts won't be back around again for 28 YEARS. Some of you won't live that long. Don't waste this precious time thinking you will. You aren't immortal. No matter what your age, none of us are.

There is a bit of a hiccup or nadir point in this week with a new moon in Cancer. There is a special report for just this new moon in a separate post. It is also sobering but it is in keeping with what we are looking at for that week. No false promises or rainbows and kittens to distract you from being in the middle of a typhoon with this one. Just some serious talk about a serious week.

Outside of these dates, the month is pleasant. After we get past "the darkest hour" around that new moon on July 20th, 2020, life will return to something can find reasons to celebrate inside of, even if only for a moment here and there with friends and loved ones as a show of support and optimism.
